So the storm is over now, the water levels have gone back to normal. The towels have all been washed and dried. Every yard in our neighborhood has a pile of leaves and tree limbs stacked at the curb, waiting to be picked up. Neighbors swapping storm stories. Good times. Our friend Steve (from the 9th ward in New Orleans) has come back to stay with us until the electricity comes back on in his area. Thankfully they did not have too much flooding or damage done this time. A few shingles missing from his roof, a little bit of water in the street, but that is it.
